Ducat Gold
How to use Ducat Gold
Buying, selling, holding and redeeming gold — one step at a time.
One DUCAT is one gram of allocated gold, settled on BNB Smart Chain. You hold it in your own wallet, you can check the reserve behind it yourself, and you can sell it back or ask for the metal.
This guide covers everything in the app, in order. If you have never used a crypto wallet before, start at the top and follow it through — nothing here assumes you have done this already.
Before you begin
Ducat is gold you hold yourself, so the first few minutes are about your wallet rather than about us. Four things, and you only need the fourth if you plan to ask for the metal.
- Step 1:
Install a wallet that supports BNB Smart Chain.
TokenPocket, SafePal, Trust Wallet, MetaMask and Binance Wallet all work. Ducat never holds your keys — the gold is yours, in your wallet, whether or not this site is running.
- Step 2:
Put USDT on BNB Smart Chain into that wallet.
USDT is what you pay with. It must be on BNB Smart Chain, not on Ethereum, Tron or any other network.
- Step 3:
Keep a small amount of BNB in the same wallet.
Every transaction costs a network fee of a few cents, paid in BNB to the network itself. Ducat does not receive it.
- Step 4:
Create a Ducat account if you want to redeem, gift or invite.
Buying and selling need only a wallet. Delivery, gift links and referral rewards need an account.
If your wallet has a built-in browser, open ducat24.com inside it. Connecting is then a single tap with no QR code.
Ducat exists only on BNB Smart Chain. USDT sent from another network to these addresses cannot be recovered.
Install the app
Ducat runs in your browser, but it installs to your home screen like any other app — same account, same wallet, no app store.
- Step 1:
Open ducat24.com in Safari on iPhone, or Chrome on Android.
- Step 2:
On iPhone: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android: open the menu, then Install app.
If Ducat offers an install banner at the bottom of the screen, tapping it does the same thing.
- Step 3:
Open Ducat from the home-screen icon from then on.
It runs full screen without an address bar, and it remembers you between sessions.
The installed app is the same site. Nothing needs to be set up twice, and uninstalling it never affects your gold.
Create your account
Your account and your wallet are separate things. The account is how we reach you and how verification, gifts and referrals are tracked. It never holds gold.
- Step 1:
Tap Sign in, then choose to create an account.
- Step 2:
Enter your email address and pick a password.
- Step 3:
Open the confirmation email and follow the link.
If it has not arrived in a minute, check your spam folder and, on Gmail, the Promotions tab.
- Step 4:
Sign in, then read and accept the terms and the risk disclosure.
This is asked once. You can reread both at any time from the footer.
Your gold lives in your wallet, not in your account. Losing access to the account never puts your DUCAT at risk.
Connect your wallet
Connecting lets the site read your address and ask your wallet to sign transactions. It cannot move anything on its own.
- Step 1:
Tap Connect wallet at the top right of any page.
- Step 2:
Pick your wallet from the list.
Inside a wallet's own browser, this connects directly. On a desktop browser, choose WalletConnect and scan the QR code with your phone.
- Step 3:
Approve the connection request in your wallet.
This shares your public address only. It gives the site no permission to spend anything.
- Step 4:
Check that the network chip reads BNB Smart Chain.
If the page says you are on the wrong network, switch networks in your wallet and it will clear itself.
Ducat will never ask for your seed phrase, recovery words or private key. Any page or person asking for them is trying to steal your gold.
How to read the numbers
Every figure on the site is read from the contracts as you look at it. Nothing is typed in by hand, and where a number cannot be read the page says so instead of guessing.
- Step 1:
Gold price is US dollars per gram, from the desk's own feed.
If it reads unavailable, the feed has stopped reporting a value it can verify and the desk will refuse to trade until it recovers. That is a safety measure, not a fault.
- Step 2:
In circulation is how many DUCAT exist. One DUCAT is one gram.
- Step 3:
Gold in reserve is the attested weight of metal behind them.
- Step 4:
Backing is the reserve divided by what is in circulation.
Supply can never exceed the reserve the contract can see — that limit is enforced inside every mint, not promised in a document.
- Step 5:
Desk spread is what the desk charges, and it is already inside your quote.
Buy and sell spreads differ. The figure you are shown before you press the button is what the contract will compute.
Your quote comes from the desk contract itself, not from arithmetic in the browser, so it cannot drift from what actually settles.
Buy gold
Buying takes two wallet confirmations: first you permit the desk to take your USDT, then you make the purchase. That is normal and it is not a repeat of the same request.
- Step 1:
Open Buy and check the price and how much is available.
- Step 2:
Enter what you want to spend, in USDT.
Tapping your balance underneath the field fills in the maximum.
- Step 3:
Read the You receive figure.
This is the desk's own quote for your amount, with the spread already applied.
- Step 4:
Choose a slippage limit, or leave it at 0.5%.
This sets the minimum grams you will accept. If the price moves past it before your transaction lands, the trade reverts instead of filling badly.
- Step 5:
Press Step 1 · Approve USDT and confirm in your wallet.
This grants permission only. No money leaves your wallet on this step.
- Step 6:
Press Step 2 · Buy DUCAT and confirm again.
The desk takes the USDT and sends the gold in the same transaction.
- Step 7:
Wait for Purchase settled, then open it on BscScan if you want the receipt.
Your DUCAT is in your wallet from that moment. Do not close the page while it is settling.
The approval covers the amount you entered. Buying the same size again often needs only the second signature.
If your wallet shows an error, nothing was spent beyond the network fee. The usual causes are a price move past your slippage limit, an amount larger than the desk holds, or being on the wrong network.
Sell gold
Selling is the same shape as buying, in reverse: approve the desk to take your DUCAT, then sell it for USDT.
- Step 1:
Open Sell and check the price and the sell spread.
- Step 2:
Enter how many grams you want to sell.
- Step 3:
Read the You receive figure, in USDT.
As with buying, this is the desk's own quote and it includes the spread.
- Step 4:
Press Step 1 · Approve DUCAT and confirm in your wallet.
- Step 5:
Press Step 2 · Sell DUCAT and confirm again.
The USDT arrives in your wallet in the same transaction.
Sales are paid from the desk's settlement funds. If those run low, selling is unavailable for a while and the page will say so. Buying continues as normal and your DUCAT is untouched and still transferable.
Your holdings
The app's home screen answers the three questions people open it for: what do I own, what is it worth, and what has changed.
- Step 1:
Open App. Your balance is shown in grams, with today's value beneath it.
- Step 2:
Across your wallets adds up every wallet you have linked.
Your holdings are counted per account, not per wallet, so connecting a second wallet does not split your view.
- Step 3:
Activity lists your purchases, sales, gifts and rewards.
- Step 4:
Use the bottom tabs to move around: Home, Buy, Sell, Vault and You.
Plans, gifts, delivery and invites are tiles on the home screen rather than tabs.
Check the reserve
The Vault screen exists so you never have to take our word for anything. It shows the figures the contract itself enforces, and links to the contracts so you can read them directly.
- Step 1:
Open Vault from the tab bar.
- Step 2:
Compare Issued against Held in reserve.
Issued is how many grams exist as tokens. Held in reserve is the attested metal behind them.
- Step 3:
Tap any contract address to open it on BscScan.
The token, the mint controller, the trading desk and the price feed are all source-verified and readable by anyone.
- Step 4:
Read the What this does not prove panel.
It states the limits of the on-chain proof plainly, rather than leaving you to assume more than the contract can show.
Nothing on this screen depends on trusting the website. Every number can be read straight from the chain.
Verify your identity
Buying, selling and holding need no verification at all. It is required only when you want the physical metal or a cash redemption.
- Step 1:
Open Account, then Identity verification.
- Step 2:
Enter your legal name and country, and choose a document type.
The name must match the document exactly, including middle names.
- Step 3:
Upload a photo of the front of the document, and a selfie holding it.
Fill the frame, keep all four edges visible, and avoid glare across the photo page.
- Step 4:
Submit, then wait. The status becomes Under review, then Verified or Needs attention.
You will be emailed either way.
Most rejections are simple: a cut-off edge, glare on the photo, or a name that does not match. The email states the reason and you can submit new documents straight away.
Take delivery or cash out
Redemption turns your tokens back into either metal at your door or money in your wallet. The tokens are destroyed when it settles.
- Step 1:
Complete identity verification first.
Redemption is the one part of Ducat that cannot be done anonymously.
- Step 2:
Open Take delivery from the app home screen.
- Step 3:
Choose Physical gold or Cash.
Physical is shipped and insured. Cash settles in USDT to your wallet.
- Step 4:
Enter how many grams you are redeeming.
- Step 5:
For physical delivery, fill in the name, phone and address for the parcel.
The courier will call the number you give, so use one that reaches you.
- Step 6:
Confirm the two wallet signatures, as with a sale.
The first permits the redemption contract to take the gold; the second submits the request.
- Step 7:
Track it under Your requests.
The status updates as it is reviewed, prepared and dispatched.
Physical delivery has a minimum weight and a shipping cost, and both are shown before you submit. Check them first — a redemption cannot be reversed once the gold is dispatched.
Gifts, plans and invites
Four smaller things live as tiles on the app's home screen. None of them are required, and each one is one tap away.
- Step 1:
Save a little sets up small, regular purchases.
Buying a fixed amount often rather than a large amount once smooths out the price you pay.
- Step 2:
Send a gift moves grams to someone else.
Send to a wallet address if they already have one, or create a link if they do not — they can claim it into a new wallet later.
- Step 3:
Invite a friend gives you a link to share.
When someone you invited makes their first purchase, both of you receive a reward in grams. The screen shows exactly what is owed and what has been sent.
- Step 4:
Silver is a waiting list for a second metal.
It is not live yet. Joining the list only tells us you are interested.
If something goes wrong
Almost everything that goes wrong here is one of five things, and none of them put your gold at risk.
- Step 1:
The price feed is unavailable.
The desk refuses to trade on a price it cannot verify, so it pauses itself. This clears on its own.
- Step 2:
You cannot sell right now.
The desk's settlement funds are low. Buying still works, and your DUCAT is unaffected.
- Step 3:
The page says you are on the wrong network.
Switch your wallet to BNB Smart Chain.
- Step 4:
Your wallet said you cancelled.
Nothing was spent beyond the network fee. Press the button again when you are ready.
- Step 5:
The transaction failed.
Try a smaller amount, raise the slippage a little, or check the desk has enough inventory for your size.
- Step 6:
Still stuck — open Support.
It lists the failures this deployment actually has, and how to reach a person.
Connecting the wrong wallet is harmless. Disconnect and connect again — your account and your verification are separate from any wallet.
Ready to start?
Buying takes a wallet, some USDT and about two minutes. Everything else in this guide can wait until you need it.
Gold can fall in value as well as rise. This guide explains how the product works; it is not investment advice. Read the risk disclosure before you buy.
